Makana Pono: Employee Giving Program
As a single mother who had a seriously ill child, Islands Hospice CNA Yvonne Li knows first-hand the difference that organizations like Make-A-Wish Hawaii has on families. Research shows that wishes go beyond making a child and family happy – wishes help children build physical and emotional strength needed to fight illness.
“Make-A-Wish Hawaii grants life-changing wishes to keiki in our state with critical illnesses,” explained Yvonne. “This organization provides support to children and families in need.”
Yvonne has worked out of our town office for almost four years, providing personal care and a supportive presence to our patients in the facility and home setting. When notified of her award, Yvonne expressed her support for the Makana Pono program and her enthusiasm about making this donation during the holiday season, especially during this challenging year. “It’s a blessing to be part of the Islands Hospice Ohana. Thank you for this opportunity to give back to the community!”
