Hawaii Pacific Health Organization: Pali Momi 'Ohana Fund

Pali Momi Medical Center is part of the Hawaii Pacific Health family of hospitals which includes Straub, Wilcox, and Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. Pali Momi has been a valuable partner to Islands Hospice and we are excited to support its patients and families through our $5,000 Makana Pono gift.

September Makana Pono awardee Kelly Kawasaki selected the ‘Ohana Fund of Pali Momi Foundation, which supports patients in need of financial assistance for medication, medical equipment and transportation. Our financial contribution will also help make sure that people have the resources they need to safely discharge to go home.

As a not-for-profit medical center, Pali Momi Medical Center relies on donations to fulfill its mission of creating a healthier Hawai‘i, especially for the people of Central and West O‘ahu. It is home to West O‘ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization units and is a certified Primary Stroke Center.

“The ‘Ohana Fund is [made of] good people, doing good for people,” explained Kelly. “They do so much for our community.”

Kelly is a director of clinical services with our West O‘ahu location and has worked for Islands Hospice for seven years supervising Team Ekahi and our IPU.
