Islands Hospice Care
UHA Concurrent Care

A Compassionate Bridge Between Treatment and Support

UHA Concurrent Care allows patients facing a serious or terminal illness to continue receiving treatments while also accessing the full range of support services provided by Islands Hospice. This benefit ensures quality of life remains a central focus even while curative care continues.

What is UHA Concurrent Care?

UHA Concurrent Care Program provides patients with holistic care that addresses both medical needs and quality-of-life concerns. While treatments such as chemotherapy or surgeries may continue, patients also receive personalized support from a dedicated interdisciplinary care team.

No prior authorization is required for the initial 14 days of care, allowing for timely support and care plan development. Authorization is required after the initial period and must be renewed every 90 days.
